The BakePacker baking system offers a quick, no-mess alternative to conventional oven baking. Mixing bowls and baking pans are not required. The finished product is moist and flavorful.
The BakePacker is not a steamer. Each compartment of the aluminum grid functions as a single, self-contained heat exchanger. When the water in these compartments is boiled, the rate of heat transfer from the water to the plastic bag is very high. Higher, in fact, than a steamer, double boiler or an open pan of boiling water.
The BakePacker can be used for baking breads and biscuits. Any freeze-dried entree can also be prepared with the BakePacker system. It preserves flavor and eliminates clean-up, by cooking and serving from Glad food storage bags or Reynolds oven cooking bags.
Fits 6" diameter or larger cook-pots.
Bakes up to 1 1/2 cups dry mix.
